Karen J. Frech

Karen J. Frech passed away on February 7, 2025.  She was born June 29, 1942. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Frech, her mother, Dorothy J. (Frank) Frech and her dog, Rosie.

She is survived by first cousins, Patricia Orend, Judith A. Johnson, Douglas E. Heaton (Karen), Beverly Toon and Bradley Frank (Julie).  Karen is also survived by her good friends, Liz Burri and Jim Freeman.  The family would like to thank her caregiver, Grace Ziba, who took such good care of Karen.  

She graduated from North High School and Miami University with honors.

Karen was an avid Ohio State football fan and rarely missed a home game through many years.  She was a teacher at Wedgewod Middle School in Columbus, Ohio where she coached softball, winning the city league softball championship in the 1970's.  

Visitation is from 9 - 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 with the service following at 11:00 a.m. at Egan Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio.  Interment will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
