Joyce Ann (McDaniel) Borghese

Joyce Ann (McDaniel) Borghese, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio slipped away from this earth on Monday, January 18, 2021 into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus, and her late loving husband of 56 years, Robert Lawrence Borghese.   She was born on April 14,1934 to the late Clarence and Geneva (Harless) McDaniel.  She leaves behind her 12 children: Stephen (Penny), Monica (Jeffery) Oosting, Veronica (Robert) Foley, Anthony (Theresa), Robert (Holly), Vincent, Mary (Christopher) Francia, Joseph (Kathleen), John, Teresa (Patrick) Lang, Peter, and Matthew (Heather).  She leaves behind 25 more blessings of grandchildren: Steven, Joseph, Angela, John, Hannah, Christina, Scott, David, Joshua, Catherine, Maria, Patrick, Gabriel, Meghan, John, Joseph, Lisa, Maria, Anastasia, Isabella, Sophia, Miranda, Noah, Joshua Jocelyn along with 19 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Pamela (Nina), brothers Gary and Keith (Sally) McDaniel, sister-in-law, Eva Borghese and many nephews and nieces. Also preceded in death and meeting her upon her passing into Heaven were her two children whom she miscarried many years ago.  Joyce graduated from Linden McKinley High School, June, 1952 and married the love of her life, "Darling" on June 14th two weeks later.  She was a faithful wife, busy homemaker, always giving things away to those in need, and has now passed the torch on to her children to continue to be loving, giving, caring and faithful to their families.   Joyce cherished many conversations with her dear lifelong friend from 2nd grade, Clarabelle.  The family extends many thanks to Barb Tucker, who faithfully took Mom to church when she could no longer drive, to the caregivers at The Villas at St. Therese, Columbus and also Primrose Memory Care in Lancaster.  Visiting hours (Masks required) will be Saturday, 9am to 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus, OH with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. A private family gathering at the gravesite, St. Joseph Cemetery, to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either: Greater Columbus Right to Life, 665 E.
