Joseph Francis Troyan

Joseph “Joe” Francis Troyan, age 92, passed away at his home in Balitmore, Ohio on May 27, 2021.  Joe was born on Dec 9th 1928 in Youngstown Ohio to the late August Troyan and Elizabeth Jenca.  He was a Veteran of the US Army.  Graduate of The Ohio State University where he met his bride Margaret Halsema. They were married for 52 years.  He worked as a Professional Engineer at North American (Rockwell) before starting his company “Jaytron”.  He enjoyed reading the newspaper, gardening and tinkering with technology.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; siblings, August “Gus”, Margaret, John, and Elizabeth Ann.  He survived by his 5 children:  Joann (Chris) Dill of Bonita Springs, FL, John Troyan of Baltimore, OH, Cathy (Tory) Kramer of Lancaster, OH, Ellen Troyan of Ft. Myers, FL and Ann (Bart) Krieger of Pickerington, OH;  7 Grandchildren: Nick (Laura) Troyan, Andy (Emily) Troyan, Kenny Troyan, Dustin (Tori) Kramer, Amber Krieger, Kevin Krieger, Jesse Krieger; 2 Great GrandChildren: Jeremiah and Serenity Troyan; brother James “Jim”.  Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 2777 East Livingston Avenue where family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Honor Flight (honorflight.org) or Christ The King Church, 2777 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43209
