John "Jack" Robert Horvath, 75 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024.
Jack was the youngest of four children born on January 6, 1949 to Frank and Loretta Horvath. After graduating from Bishop Hartley in 1968, he proudly served in the National Guard before earning an IT degree from Columbus Technical College.
He was a dedicated and loyal employee for over 35 years at DSCC, Defense Supply Center Columbus, before retiring in 2014.
He will be remembered fondly for his kindness and witty sense of humor by his surviving brother, Ronald Horvath (Roseann), his sister, Margaret Horvath and nieces, Megan Battin (Jamie) and Melissa Smullen (Andrew). He was also a loving Uncle to his nieces and nephews, as well as his great-nieces, Brixton Raine and Ainsley Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Loretta Horvath and his brother Thomas Horvath (Marcia).
In honor of Jack’s charitable spirit, memorial contributions can be made to Life Care Alliance at 1699 W. Mound Street, Columbus, OH 43223.
