During a brutal NYC winter in the 1980s, John caught a miserable cold. He knew the best prescription was Irish whiskey. After an evening of treatment, his symptoms did not abate so John decided he needed sunshine. The next morning, John, his fiancée and her 10 year old daughter found themselves on a plane bound for the US Virgin Islands. A week of sun resulted in a cure.
Unfortunately sunshine and whiskey are not effective against dementia so John decided to join his father Jack, mother Eileen and brother Michael in the afterlife.
He is survived by his daughter Ruth (Dean) who wishes to thank the staff at Mother Angeline and her Mount Carmel family.
In memory of John, please raise a glass, turn your face towards the sun and do something spontaneous with those you love.
