John Thomas Fallon, Jr.

John Thomas Fallon, Jr., 74 of Columbus, OH, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 9, 2022. Proceeded in death by his parents, Marie and Jack Fallon, brother Michael Fallon, nephew Brian Lange and brother-in-law Robert Overman.

John will be greatly missed by sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Overman of Columbus, OH, Pat and Clark Lange of Ava Maria, FL, Chris and Mike Hilty, Suzy and John Echenrode and Michelle and Bill McGarity all of Columbus, OH, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family and friends who he loved dearly.

John was born in Glenn Ridge, New Jersey. The family moved to Columbus when he was in grade school where he attended Immaculate Conception School, Bishop Watterson High School and North High School. John served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 and was honorably discharged on March 26, 1971. John spent his adult life working in the food and beverage industry working in bars and pubs in Columbus and Buckeye Lake. He was a loyal Buckeye fan and loved to collect Buckeye memorabilia. But his real passion was gardening which filled him with much satisfaction in recent years.  From sunflowers to corn, tomatoes and peppers. He loved it all.  John was a proud veteran, brother and uncle.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to The Chalmers P. Wylie VA Care Center, the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for John’s medical needs with such compassion and care. 

Memorial service will be at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 High Street, Lewis Center, OH on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM and graveside burial immediately following.
