Jodie J. Davis, Sr.

Jodie J. Davis, Sr., age 98, passed away on April 19, 2026.  He was born on December 16, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to the late Jewel and Beaulah (Smith Barnwell) Davis.  Jodie was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War and retired after 24 years of service.  He was a member of the Whitehall VFW 8794.  After his military service, he worked for the USPS and Bureau of Workers Compensation until his retirement.  He is preceded in death by his parents,  daughter, Veronica Davis Coleman and brothers, Jewel and Billy Davis.   He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Regine; daughter, Zanetta Davis; son, Jodie Davis, Jr.; grandchildren, Jodie Davis Coleman, Daphaina Davis Coleman and Ricky Davis Coleman; great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Monday, May 4th from 10am to 12pm at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street where a Funeral Service will begin at 12pm.    Burial to follow at Arlington Field of Honor.
