Jodi Lynne Boggs, known lovingly to family and friends as Jodi, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, the same city where she was born on June 26, 1973. She left this world of natural causes with the same spirit she carried through life, which was warm, quick-witted, and unmistakably her own. Jodi was the kind of woman who could walk into a room, brighten it without trying, and somehow make everyone feel like they had just been included in the best inside joke ever told.
Jodi lived a life centered on love, family, and the kind of everyday joy that often goes unnoticed until someone like her makes it unforgettable. She was a proud mother, a cherished Gigi, and a loyal friend whose heart seemed to have room for everybody. Her family meant everything to her, and she treasured the many bonds that shaped her life. She was preceded in death by his father Stephen H. Beaver, brother Stephen J. Beaver, grandparents Richard and Mary Close, and nephew Dominic Beaver. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three children, Tyler (Hunter Akers) Boggs, Korey (Jenn Hawk) Boggs and Madison Boggs, grandchildren Oakley, Brandon and Jaxon. Parent Mary May (Jeff) and special aunt Julie Dube’ (Jeff), and her cat Meechie, favorite cousin April Forbes and special friends Diana Roby and Mary Wilson, and many treasured friends and relatives including Cheryl and Dana Hefner. Each of these names reflects a piece of the wide and loving circle that surrounded her, and she returned that love with the kind of devotion that could not be faked and never needed to be announced.
Jodi earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a focus in Accounting from Franklin University, a reflection of her determination and her ability to balance both the practical and the personal with impressive skill. She served as General Manager at Wheels To Go Transportation Company, where she brought leadership, reliability, and her unmistakable personality to the work she did. She was the type of manager who could keep things moving, keep people laughing, and probably keep a coffee cup in hand while doing it. Her coworkers and associates knew her as someone who got the job done.
Her interests painted a perfect picture of who she was. Jodi loved being a mom, being Gigi, and being a friend, which was not just a role for her but a true calling. She was a devoted fan of the Buckeyes and the Browns, proving that loyalty could survive even the most emotionally complicated sports seasons. She enjoyed music, arts and crafts, especially anything with a little bling, shopping, taking photos, coffee, and porch sittin’. She also had a fondness for Herbal Essence, which somehow feels exactly right for a woman who knew how to enjoy the little things and make them feel special. Jodi had a gift for turning ordinary moments into memories, and she did it with style, humor, and a laugh that could change the mood of a whole room.
Those who knew Jodi will remember her as loving, courageous, and funny. She was brave in the way she faced life, generous in the way she loved people, and hilarious in the way she could turn even the most routine situation into a story worth retelling. She had a comedian’s timing without ever needing a stage, and her sense of humor was one of her greatest gifts. If life handed her a mess, she likely looked at it, sighed, and found a way to make everybody laugh before cleaning it up. That was Jodi. She did not just survive life. She added punchlines to it.
One of the best ways to honor Jodi is to remember that laughter was never far from her heart. As the beloved comedian Phyllis Diller once said, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” Jodi understood that kind of wisdom instinctively. She knew that a smile, a joke, a coffee, a porch swing, or a perfectly timed comment could make a hard day lighter. She gave that gift freely to the people around her.
Jodi’s presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her, but her influence will remain in the stories shared, the photos taken, the crafts made with a little extra sparkle, the sports games watched with hopeful hearts, and the countless moments when someone hears a funny thought and says, “That sounds like Jodi.” Her life was a beautiful blend of heart, humor, and resilience. She was a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a coworker, and a bright light in Columbus, Ohio, and beyond.
Though her time here ended too soon, Jodi Lynne Boggs leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and laughter that will continue to comfort and inspire those who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the roles she filled, but for the joy she brought into them. In the end, Jodi lived exactly as she was meant to live, with love in her heart, humor on her lips, and enough personality to make heaven a little livelier the moment she arrived.
