Jessie C. Green

Jessie Green passed away at her residence, The Forum at Knightsbridge, Columbus, OH, on August 17, 2021.  Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, to Marion (Potter) and Andrew Martin, she arrived in the U.S. in 1923.  Living In the Detroit, MI area, Jessie married Donald  Green on May 17, 1941. Their daughter, Patricia was born in 1946.  Jessie was employed at the J.L. Hudson Co., Cook’s Pharmacy, and the Redford Union Schools.  In 1976 retirement took Jessie and Don to Florida where they enjoyed a lively social life at the Beacon Woods Golf Club, the site of Jessie’s hole in one! In 2011 Jessie moved to Columbus to be near her daughter and son-in-law.  She continued with bridge, bingo, and friendship in Independent Living at the Forum for 10 years.  Jessie was predeceased by her brother, Andrew; her parents; husband, and son-in-law Robert Kriss.  She is survived by daughter, Patricia Kriss, cousins: Norma Blacklock (Ray), Camrose,  Alberta; Heather Hartung, Antwerp, Belgium; and Lloyd McCoomb (Ann), Oakville, Ontario and many nieces and nephews.  Interment will be in Florida next to her husband.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jessie’s memory to Scholarship Opportunities for Success, PO Box 340622, Columbus, OH 43234 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl.
