Jeanette Krystek

Jeanette T. “Jane” Krystek, age 87, passed away May 2, 2023.  She was born on May 22, 1935 in Snowden, PA to the late Thomas and Mary Hardinger (Pust).

Jane worked as a nurse's aide and then physical therapist at the Mohun Healthcare Facility for 33 years making sure that her patients were cared for with love and dignity. She retired at the age of 77.

She was a highly self-sacrificing person who would always give when it was needed no matter what the cost was to herself.

Jane was exactly what a mother should be-self-sacrificing, loving and a wonderful teacher to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Above all Jane was devoted to her faith, family and friends proven by the testament of her life. She is leaving an empty place here on earth that no one can ever fill. Thank you, Mom, we'll always love you.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Krystek; granddaughter, Jennifer Krystek; siblings, Thomas Hardinger, Robert Hardinger, Marion (Dolly) Bandi, Francis Hardinger, Ronald Hardinger and Dennis Hardinger.  She is survived by her children, Donald Krystek, Cheryl Krystek, Wayne (Linda) Krystek and Kimberly (David) Jacobs; grandchildren, Mary Krystek, Morgan Krystek, Lauren Krystek, Michelle Hughes, Christina Jacobs, Jessica Jacobs, Hannah Jacobs, Michael Jacobs, Theresa (James) Peters, Michaela (Leon) Hambleton, Maria Jacobs, and Adam Jacobs; Great Grandchildren Aiden, Ella, Brayden and Jensen; sisters, Nancy Hardinger, Karen (Skip) Felton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, May 8 at 11:00 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 South High Street.  Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
