Jean D. Ridenour

Jean D. Ridenour, age 88, passed away September 14, 2024. Born on April 11, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio.  A longtime active member of St. Catharine Parish.  Graduate of St. Mary of the Springs Academy and The Ohio State University.  She loved golf and enjoyed her times at Pine Hill golf course with her friends.  Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hal Ridenour; parents, George and Irene Doersam; brother-in-law, Ray Bichimer. Survived by her children Bruce (Nancy) Ridenour and Suzanne (Todd) Coulter; grandchildren Kelsey Harvey, Shane Coulter, Jerrod Coulter, Max and Drew Ridenour; great-grandchildren Vito Harvey and Adria Coulter; sister Nancy Bichimer; sister-in-law Carol Ann (Bob) Shull.  Friends may call Friday, September 20 at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad St. from 4-7 pm where a Prayer Service will begin at 4 p.m.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday September 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd.  The family would like to invite those attending Mass to a luncheon immediately following in the Monsignor Sorohan Parish Center.  Private burial at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Friends who wish may contribute in Jean’s memory to St. Catharine Church or the charity of your choice.
