Jean R. Babbitt finished her earthly race and ran across the finish line into Gods and her families arms on July 8th, 2024. She was born December 7, 1931 to Edward and Margaret Babbitt.
Conventional norms did not define Jeans life. She chose not to marry and remained in the house of her birth. Her career at the Purdy Company was complemented by her active involvement in various Bexley clubs and organizations. Her love of dogs was a significant part of her life, and she found joy in her neighbors and their children.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara, brothers Bud and Bob and her nephew Jack.. She is survived by sister in law Becky Babbitt, nephews Scott and Brent, nieces Kris and Beth, four great nieces, four great nephews, and one great-great nephew, and many friends.
Egan-Ryan Funeral Home is handling services at 403 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH. Calling hours are Saturday July 20th 9:30am-10:30am, a brief Chapel service to follow at 10:30. A private family burial will follow immediately at Glen Rest Cemetery Reynoldsburg, OH. In-lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Humane Society at Columbushumane.org
