It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Richcreek, age 88. She passed away, peacefully in her sleep, on July 31, 2024.
Jan was born on June 19, 1936 to the late Howard and Mildred Smith. Janet was a graduate of Central High School.
She loved her faith and was active in her beliefs. She was a seamstress who loved to knit and crochet and would donate blankets, booties, and cradle caps to babies who were receiving hospital care.
She was full of life and loved her family and friends very deeply. Her smile was comforting and her laughter was contagious. Her faith was unshakable, and her kindness, overflowing. She will be missed by the so many lives that she touched along the way.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Miller; many aunts and uncles. Survived by daughter, Debbie (Pascale Poirotte) Grannan; nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.
Friends may call Friday, August 9 from 4-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street where a Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 10 at 9 a.m. Chaplain Sue Duve, Officiant. Burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
