Jane T. Hanlon

Jane Hanlon passed away peacefully on March 11, 2021 at Wesley Woods of New Albany, Ohio.  Jane was born on December 30, 1928 to parents Alois and Lillian Hruby of Shaker Heights, Ohio.  She attended the Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and graduated from Notre Dame College of Ohio.  In 1950, Jane married the late Paul W. Dixon and resided in Cleveland and then Columbus.  They had four children and were members of St. Timothy Catholic Church.  Jane was employed by Argo & Lehne Jewelers and the Johnson Family Diamond Cellar.  Jane was activiely involved in and served as a past president of the Elizabethan Guild.  In 1984, Jane married John Robert (Bob) Hanlon.  They were active members of St. Peter Catholic Church in Worthington, Ohio.  They were involved with the St. Peter RCIA program, welcoming new Catholics to the church.  Jane is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers (Louis, Joseph and Thomas Hruby) and a sister (Mary Louise Hruby), first husband Paul, and daughter-in-law Pam Dixon.  She is survived by her husband Bob, children and step-children William (Jan) Dixon, Robert (MaryBeth) Dixon, Anne (Stig Ljunggren) Turner, Mary Jo (Thomas) Vara, and Kathleen (Matthew) Faltys.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.   Friends may call Wednesday, March 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church , 6899 Smoky Row Road where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Parish, stpetercolumbus.com, Wesley Hospice, wesleyhospice.com or Wesley Woods, wesleyatnewalbany.com
