James E. "Grover" Gillilan
Obituary
James E.”Grover” Gillilan, Jr., age 62, passed away April 4, 2023 after a brief battle with an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. We are all heart broken to make this announcement. He was a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory High School class of 1978. He was preceded in death by father James E. Gillilan, Sr. and is survived by his mother Anne, children Brittany (Arturo) and Brian, and grandchildren Gabriella, Felix and Alexa; sisters Nancy Gillilan and Sally Taylor; brothers Joe, Chuck, Paul and Kenny. He was also known by all of his friends from “Murph’s” as “Grover”, a term of endearment. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. Mass of Christian Burial will be Weds. 11:15 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St. on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery. Burial to follow. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may contribute to the charity of their choice.
