James O. Doone

James O. (Fitzpatrick) (Doon) Doone passed away peacefully February 26, 2018 at the age of 80. Jim was born November 11, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio at Mt. Carmel Hospital. He graduated from St. Augustine elementary school in 1951 and Aquinas High School class of 1955. Jim served in the United States Air Force Security Service from 1956 to 1960 in Germany. He attended The Ohio State University for several years while employed by Western Electric / A. T. & T. / Lucent Systems from 1960 to 1992 retirement. He was employed by the O.S.U. Reference Lab from 1993 to 2001. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Doone and Jane E. Fitzpatrick Doone, and his 1st wife Judy Donley Doone, and other members of the Doone, Boutilier, Fitzpatrick, Donley, Donnlley, and Doon families. He is survived by his wife Donna M. Boutilier Doone and four children James O. Doone Jr., John E. (Jill) Doone, Michael P. Doone, Maura K. (Armando) Costa, and three grand-children Leslie, Alex, and Sean Doone. Jim is also survived by three brothers, Bob (Kate) Doone, Garry (Joann) Doone, Rick (Margie) Doone, and many nephews and nieces (not named here because I surely would miss someone), and the Doon and Fitzpatrick clan cousins. I love you all. “LOVE YOU, SEE YOU, BYE." Family will receive friends on Friday, March 2 from 4-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 West Lane Avenue. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the ALS Association, Central and Southern Ohio Chapter, 1170 Old Henderson Rd Ste 221, Columbus, OH 43220.
