Helen Faye (Hart) King

Helen Faye King, née Hart, age 97, died peacefully at Norwich Springs Health Campus in Hilliard on February 23, 2025.

Faye was born on May 10, 1927 in South Charleston, West Virginia. She was a 1945 graduate of Charleston Catholic High School, where she met Bill, the love of her life. She is survived by sons Bill, Jr., Steve, Tim (Patty), Greg, Dave (Darla), Rich (Leslie) and Dan (DeeAnn), brother Robert A. (Barbara) Hart of League City, Texas, 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and counting, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband William F. King, parents Roland F. Hart and Ora O’Daniel Hart and brother Roland F. Hart, Jr.

Faye was devoted to her Catholic faith, and her example continues to inspire her sons, grandchildren and those who knew her.  She was a dedicated wife and mother who always put the needs of her family above all else. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and, most of all, her seven sons. She enjoyed watching Notre Dame and Ohio State football. Faye loved to play the piano and always enjoyed going to listen to her sons’ band play.

After raising her family, Faye made many friends while working in the office at the Union Department Store in Kingsdale Shopping Center. She also treasured the friends she made while living at the Villas at Highland Lake in Westerville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard. Immediate family will greet family and friends in the Gathering Space from 10:30 a.m. until Mass begins. In lieu of flowers (please), contributions can be made in Faye’s name to Ohio’s Hospice.
