Grace W. (Lutz) Cafarella

Grace W. Cafarella, age 96, died Wednesday December 27, 2023 at Coraopolis, PA.  Born 1927 in Snydersburg, PA. to Joseph and Mary Ann Lutz.  Graduated from Farmington High School in Leeper, PA. in 1945.  Worked in the office of Owens Illinois Glass Co. for several years. Began college at St. Mary’s, Notre Dame, IN. and completed her R.N. studies at Mt. Carmel Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She retired from nursing in 1981. She married her beloved husband, Frank, of 32 years. He preceded her in death in 2003. Also preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anna Hannah, Helen Kifer, three brothers-in-law, two nephews. Survived by nieces and nephews: Janet (Duane) Mercer, Carol Kapp, Linda Hannah, Nancy (Rodger) Wall, Kerry Kifer, Kathryn (Tom) Gloyer, Karen (Daniel) Norrid, Jean (Bruce) Huchro, John (Susan) Cafarella, Margaret Cafarella, grand nieces and nephews and extended families, cousins, and devoted friends and neighbors. An active member of St. Catharine Church where her Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday January 5th with Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday January 4th at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home 403 E. Broad St. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Catharine Church 500 S. Gould Rd.
