In Loving Memory of Germán

Our beloved Germán — husband, father, brother, brother in law, father in law, and uncle — was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, on May 15, 1949. Son of Luis Evelio Urribarri and Luisa Rosa Faría, he grew up alongside his fou sisters — Luisa, Gladys, Nora, and Gloria — and several siblings by upbringing, in the Maracaibo of Venezuela’s golden era. A proud Maracucho. Always surrounded by a large and loving family, he later married his wife, Zulay Milagros Cepeda. Together they built a beautiful family and became parents to Germán Ramón de Jesús and Zulay Milagros de Jesús. 

He was passionate about horse racing, baseball, dominoes, and the joyful music of Billo’s. With remarkable intelligence and an exceptional memory, he could effortlessly recall and share historical moments, always adding life to every conversation.

He will forever be remembered as a joyful, enthusiastic man — someone always ready with a smile, a story, or a heartfelt piece of advice. His many nieces and nephews cherished him deeply, and he remained a constant source of support for his children and extended family.

His presence, warmth, special humor and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Yo soy la resurrección y la vida. El que cree en mí vivirá, aunque muera. 

En amorosa memoria de Germán

Nuestro querido Germán —esposo, padre, hermano, cuñado, suegro y tío— nació en Maracaibo, Venezuela, el 15 de mayo de 1949. Hijo de Luis Evelio Urribarri y Luisa Rosa Faría, creció junto a sus cuatro hermanas —Luisa, Gladys, Nora y Gloria— y varios hermanos de crianza, en el Maracaibo de la época dorada de Venezuela. Un orgulloso maracucho. Siempre rodeado de una gran y amorosa familia, contrajo matrimonio con su esposa, Zulay Milagros Cepeda. Juntos construyeron una hermosa familia y fueron padres de Germán Ramón de Jesús y Zulay Milagros de Jesús.

Era apasionado de las carreras de caballos, el dominó, películas de vaqueros y la alegre música de la Billos  como nuestra gaita Maracucha  . Dotado de una inteligencia notable y una memoria excepcional, podía recordar y compartir momentos históricos con facilidad, siempre aportando vida a cada conversación.

Será recordado para siempre como un hombre alegre y entusiasta, alguien siempre dispuesto a regalar una sonrisa, una historia o un consejo sincero. Sus muchos sobrinos y sobrinas lo querían profundamente, y fue un pilar constante de apoyo para sus hijos y toda su familia.

Su presencia, su calidez, su humor especial y su risa vivirán para siempre en el corazón de todos los que lo amaron.
