Emily B. (Beardshear) Manierre

Emily B. Manierre, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday March 29th. Born in Columbus, Ohio on December 19, 1932. Emily was an educator with the Columbus City Schools for 40 plus years, as well as a long-standing member of St. Catharine Church and choir. She graduated from Dennison University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was an avid reader and bridge enthusiast who loved to travel the world. Emily was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, William A. Manierre, Sr. and son William A. Manierre, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Lynda (Paul) Maguire of Oberlin, OH, son Lawrence E. Manierre (Jacinta) of Naples FL, four grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Craig) McCall, Kaitlyn Bove, and Morgan and Gwyneth Manierre. A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catharine Church with burial to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catharine Church 500 S. Gould Rd. Columbus, OH 43209.
