Eileen A. O’Reilly, age 87, was born in Columbus July 27, 1936, was called to the Lord January 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret O’Reilly; brothers Joseph, Robert and David; sisters Helen Murrin and Mary Catherine Hawkins. Survived by sister-in-law Susie O’Reilly, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Eileen attended Old St. Peter Parish School and graduated from Holy family High School. At age 18 she began work at Ohio Bell and stayed until retirement from AT&T.
Eileen was a long time member Our Lady of Peace Parish, The Holy family Alumni and the AT&T Pioneers. Eileen loved being with family, attending all family celebrations and gatherings, especially St. Patrick’s Day festivities.
Eileen’s family would like to thank all those who cared for her during her extended illness; The Blue Girls at Dublin Retirement Village; the caregivers and staff at The Avalon of Lewis Center; the nurses and staff from Capital City Hospice.
Family and friends will be received Thursday January 25, 4-8 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home 403 E. Broad St, Prayer Service 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Church 20 E. Dominion Blvd. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
