Dorothy J. Nesser

Dorothy J. Nesser, age 90, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at her home.  Dorothy was born on December 30, 1933 in Columbus to the late James and Bernadine Uhl.  She was a graduate of Rosary High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin University.  Dorothy was a longtime employee for the Columbus Public School System where she worked as a secretary and eventually as an auditor.  Dorothy also had her own tax service business for many years.  She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church.  She enjoyed travelling and took trips to China, Alaska and Europe.  Dorothy loved jazz music and square dancing especially with the Bucks and Does.  She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, David and Dan (Lori) Nesser and Sam Nesser; granddaughter, Molleigh Broyles; siblings,  Mary Bernadine Uhl, James Uhl and Martha McIntosh.  She is survived by her children, Susan (Denny) Hufstader, Michael (Krista) Nesser, Julie Nesser, Debora (Edgar) Nesser-Broyles, Joseph (Beth) Nesser and Matthew Nesser; many adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church, 2777 East Livingston Avenue.  Private burial at a later date.
