Dennis was born on July 14, 1942, in Wheeling, WV, son of Edward and Dorothy (Weekly) Lloyd.
Dennis grew up and spent most of his life in Ohio, graduating from Bellaire St. John’s H.S in 1960 then Wheeling Jesuit College in 1964. He entered the US Air Force in 1964 for officer candidate school and basic training at Lackland, Texas. In addition, Dennis was assigned to Strategic Air Command and flew in 75 missions during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1969.
He married Rosemary (Wolfe), on April 20, 1974 and after 43 years of marriage, she passed away in 2017. Dennis was a CPA in Ohio for nearly 50 years. He began his accounting career at Coopers & Lybrand, which later became PricewaterhouseCoopers. After spending 35 years with PwC he “retired” to start his own accounting firm with his good friend, Terry Welsh. In 2019 he officially retired and moved to South Carolina. His hobbies included golf, bowling, cards, reading, watching his grandkids sporting events and “stirring the pot” to any and all!
He moved into the Tree Tops community in the summer of 2019. He started the Euchre club and joined many other card games. He enjoyed golfing in the monthly scrambles and bowling in the Tree Tops league.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Michelle Lloyd and Andrea Frederick (Ron), siblings, Janet Orban (John) and David Lloyd (Sue); grandchildren, Alex and Alli Frederick and many nieces, nephews and “cousins by the dozens”. In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kathy (Kaluger).
