Colleen Elizabeth Gallagher, 72, a long-time resident of Clintonville, passed away on November 11, 2024, after an extended illness. Born April 10, 1952, Colleen was known for her gentle soul.
Colleen had a special love for animals, babies, tea, and the color pink. Throughout her life, she faced challenges associated with developmental disabilities and health conditions with an incredible spirit of resilience and warmth. Her words were few, yet the lessons she taught are prolific. Her brother, Marty, served as her loyal caretaker since 2003 after the passing of their mother. Their mutual love, kindness, and support exemplifies the meaning of family.
Colleen is reunited in heaven with her parents, Tom and Ann Gallagher, She is survived by her siblings Tom (Janice), Pat (Allyson), Marty, Michael, Mary (Todd Goehring), and Annie (Jim Hilz), ten nieces and nephews, and her aunt, Sr. Colleen Gallagher, OP.
Her family will hold a private service to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you demonstrate an act of kindness to someone in your natural or chosen family and/or donate to the Dominican Sisters of Peace (oppeace.org/web) in her memory.
