Cheryl Y. Beaty passed away November 19, 2024 at the age of 80. Cheryl was born in Castroville, Texas to Eugene and Helen Yost and lived many places as an Air Force brat. Cheryl met John R. Beaty while he was stationed in Japan for the Air Force. They married and had two daughters.
Cheryl lived for many years in Alaska working for the state. From there she lived in Seattle, Montana, Wyoming and settled in Ohio where she had many relatives. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Montana State University in Billings, Montana, and continued educational courses throughout her lifetime.
After retiring from the state of Ohio, she dedicated many hours to caring for the elderly as a home healthcare aide. She loved travelling, gardening and her cats. She was a Master Gardener and spent every possible minute in her yard, garden and greenhouse.
She was also an experienced remodeler and very handy with power tools, building, refurbishing and decorating her home. When she wasn’t in the garden or swinging a paint brush, she was reading.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Rich) Allen, Katie (Larry) Schwend, grandchildren Jessica Becker, Nick (Christi) Becker, Haley (Kaleb) Ripley, Jared (Tru) Schwend and greatgrandchildren Bristol and Jackson Becker, Sophia Ripley, and baby Becker on the way.
In lieu of memorial services, donations can be made to your local animal shelter in her name.
