Chuck loved his wife of 68 + years Jean whom he met when he moved to Columbus in 1952 after service in the United State Marine Corp where he served in the Korean War. He was proud of being a USMC Veteran. He worked in the construction industry until finally retiring from Savko and Sons Inc. in his mid-80’s where he loved to debate politics with Marty and all his fellow workers. He was most proud of his work with the Hussey Company in the 60’s and 70’s maintaining a lifetime friendship with owner Don Hussey, who preceded Chuck in death. He loved his children very much and supported them in all their endeavors vigorously. Chuck equally loved his grandchildren and hardly ever missed an event in which they participated whether it was sports or the arts. Charlie was an avid sports fan following his Browns, Buckeyes and Fighting Irish!
