Carl O. "Bud" Gard, Jr., age 65, passed away May 1, 2024. Bud was born February 8, 1959 in Beavercreak, Ohio to the late Carl O. Gard Sr. and Ruby Bauer Gard. Bud was an Eagle Scout and loved downhill and water skiing, nature, people and art. He worked landscape design and construction with Peabody Landscape Services. He was a member of St. Brendan Parish and the Scioto Boat Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Patrick Conway and Dr. Jay L. Blatnik. He is survived by his wife, Sally Gard; son, Ben Gard and his wife Kathy Krout; siblings, Dave (Karla) Jones and Kathy Hayden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Debbie) Conway, Beth Conway, Maureen Blatnik, and Timothy (Steve Wood) Conway; nieces and nephews, Carly (Reese) Martin, Casey (Tony) Masters, Kelly Conway, Amy Conway, Mara (Dustin) Hall, Sara (Michael Duchesne) Blatnik; great nieces and nephew, Taylor Martin Reagan Masters and Garrett Hall;. Friends may call Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brendan Church, 4475 Dublin Road. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kobacker House.
