Barbara Jean Murphy

Barbara Jean Murphy, age 76, Saturday October 30, 2021. Born Feb. 24, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Herbert (Bud) and Mildred Hamilton.  Graduate of South High School.  Long time member of St. Catharine Church.  Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was an absolute selfless caregiver. She loved music, singing and dancing.  Survived by husband of 50 years John L. (Jack) Murphy; sons John (Lisa), Kevin (Julie), Brian (Jennifer) and Tim (Kayla); grandchildren Kali, William, Brynna, Amelia, Adalynn, Isaac, and Thomas; great granddaughter Scarlett; sister Joyce Stoddard; brother-in-law Rich (Anne) Murphy; sisters-in-law Patty (Bob) Demkovich and Barbara Murphy; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister-in-law Theresa and brother-in-law Jim Murphy.  Friends may call Weds. 3-6 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST.    Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers friends who wish may contribute in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Catharine Church.
