Anthony H. "Tony" Sacco

Anthony H. “Tony” Sacco, age 89 passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a 1955 graduate of Linden McKinley High School. Anthony proudly represented his country by serving in The United States Army.

Upon his return from the military, he worked for the General Motors Corporation as a tool and die maker. Throughout his life Anthony enjoyed gardening, working with model trains, automobiles and traveling. Tony was proud of his Italian heritage and was an emeritus member of the Piave Club for more than 30 years. He was also a life-long learner attending multiple classes at COTC always encouraging others to further their education.

He was preceded in death by his father Enrico Sacco and mother Josephine (Patsy) Tibery; and a sister Mary Ann Sergio. In addition to his wife Ann (Floyd) Sacco, Anthony is survived by his sister, Patricia (Steven) Stabile; and nieces Lisa (John) Radkowski of Royce City, Texas and Kenna (Erik) Niceswanger; and numerous additional nephews.

Friends and family may call at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home NW Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus on Thursday, April 9 from 5-7 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10 at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where military honors will be observed at graveside.
