Algirdas Vasiliauskas

Algirdas (Al) Vasiliauskas passed away Thursday, June 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Peter and Matthew Barretta. He is survived by his wife Josepha (Jo), his daughters Reggie Sharpe (Richard), Nikki Barretta, Eugenia Patton, granddaughters Jennifer (Dan) Seeley, Laura (Scott) Doepper, Kristin (Adam) Elliott, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Lithuania, Al immigrated to Canada and eventually to the US. He and his family have lived in Columbus since 1964.

Al retired from Ohio Dominican University in 1991 after serving as Director of the Physical Plant. He is a member of St Catherine of Siena parish and has served on the board.  Friends may call Sunday June 13th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad St. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 14th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 500 S. Gould Rd. A private burial will take place Tuesday the 16th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Algirdas A. Vasiliauskas Scholarship”. Checks payable to Ohio Dominican University with notation for the Vasiliauskas Scholarship may be sent to Advancement Office, Ohio Dominican University, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH 43219.
