Wilma C. McDonald Dane, died Saturday June 24, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a six month illness. She previously enjoyed 90 years of excellent health and happiness. She was proceeded in death by her siblings: Cleopha L. McDonald (Gerald) Hradek, Alta R. McDonald (Thomas) Lillis, and Charles Wade (Maria Zuber) McDonald. As well as, her husband Dr. Robert J. Dane, M.D. and  her son Jeffrey C. Dane and  son-in-law James H. Drake. She is survived by her sons Dr. Robert M. Dane, Ph.D. and John P. Dane and daughters Mary Anne Dane (Tony) Zanetos, Judith C. Dane (James) Drake, and Barbara L. (Donna Hetrick) Dane, also daughter-in-law Kathy Kimes Dane (Vince) DePaoli. Born April 26, 1926 in Williamsburg, Iowa, she was the daughter of Charles Hayes and Theresia Ann (Kelly) McDonald. She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1953. She was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio for 60 years. After raising her children, she worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital where she retired in 1991. She was an avid ballroom dancer who loved nothing more than home and family. Her talents included gardening and cooking. She was still cooking fabulous food and feeding her family at 90 years old. She was the very proud grandmother of: Megan E. Dane, J. Mathew (Kira) Drake, Aaron R. (Crystal) Drake, and Mary C. (Michael) Prescott. She was blessed to be a great grandmother to: James M. Legue, Ashleigh E. Drake, Erin N. Drake and Bryson H.
