Tom Karl Milne

Tom Karl Milne, age 68, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Columbus, OH. He was born April 25,1950 in Pittsburg, CA to Thomas Lewis and Louise (Cardinalli) Milne. He graduated from Pittsburg High School, Class of 1968. He earned his Bachelor of Science Mathematics degree from Cal Poly in San Louis Obispo in computer science. He married Darlene Wilson in 1971 and they had two children, Missy and Brian. His six grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Jackson, Bailey, Jennifer, and Kimmie, knew him as "Papa". He built his career as a manager at USS/Posco in Pittsburg, CA where he later retired. In retirement he enjoyed working as an official with The World of Outlaws North American Racing Club. He finally settled in Columbus, OH in 2007.

Tom’s passion in life was traveling. Whether he was scuba diving with his friends or seeing the wonders of the world with his daughter, he always up for the next adventure. Tom was an avid golfer and loved hitting the course with his son at any given opportunity. There was no bigger sports fanatic than Tom. He cheered the loudest for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Golden State Warriors, San Jose Sharks, and San Fransisco 49ers.

Tom's greatest joy in life was spending time in Colorado with his children and grandchildren. He cherished his lunch dates at the Chinese restaurant with Emily; cheering on Ethan at basketball games; and hanging at the pool with Jackson and Bailey. His family will always remember his laughter and love of life.

Tom had a magnetic personality and anyone who knew him couldn’t help but love him; he had the most amazing circle of friends. His friends describe him as caring, compassionate, and fun.

The world has lost a remarkable man, but heaven has gained a most treasured angel.

Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel 4661 Kenny Rd. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in his memory to The First Tee of Central Ohio PO Box 3 Reynoldsburg , OH 43068.
