Thomas M. (Duke) Hinton, passed away Monday April 24, 2017 at Mt Carmel East Hospital. Preceded in death by parents Mary Morrissey and Charles W. Hinton, brother Richard, niece Anne Porter, brother-in-law John Moore. Survived by wife Mary Moore Hinton; sons Patrick Michael, Thomas Morrissey, Charles Moore of CA. and Sean Martin (Ellen) of CO.; grandchildren Kevin, Megan and Brian; many nieces and nephews from Bowen, Hinton, Moriarty and Moore families; sister Rita Bowen, sister-in-law Patricia Hinton.

Duke was a 1949 Graduate of Aquinas College High School and District Manager of Lanier Business Products which resulted in his family moving to Denver and San Francisco.  They returned to Columbus in 2001.  Duke was Past President of Shamrock Club of Columbus (1967), member of Ancient Order of Hibernians, and he was an avid sports fan. He loved Notre Dame and the Cincinnati Reds and he also enjoyed golfing with his good friends Jim Williams and Jim Moore.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday April 28 10:00 a.m. at St Leo Church, 221 Hanford St. Private burial later. A Reception will follow Mass at the Shamrock Club.
