Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Mary Ronald Sunic died at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, OH on Tuesday, December 5. She was born in 1924 in East McKeesport, PA and in 1944 entered the congregation of St. Mary of the Springs, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace. She earned her degree from the College of St. Mary of the Springs, now Ohio Dominican University.  She taught in CT, NM, NY, PA, Steubenville, OH and in the Columbus diocese at St. Thomas. She was a Nursing Assistant in New York and also at Mohun Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Daugherty Sunic, her brothers, George and John, her sisters, Elizabeth Clontz ,Ruth and Mary Sunic. She is survived by nieces, and nephews. Her body will be received at the Columbus Motherhouse on Tuesday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. A Vigil of Remembrance Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. with the wake continuing until 7:00 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be held at the Columbus Motherhouse, 2320 Airport Drive, on Wednesday, December 13 at 9:00 AM  followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street.
