Russell Neds Obituary

Russell "Russ" Lowell Neds, age 65, passed away on Sunday July 1, 2018 after a courageous battle against metastatic bladder cancer. He was born September 27, 1952, in Columbus son of the late Robert Lou and Elsie Marie (Reay) Neds. He was a 1970 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and attended The Ohio State University.  Russ was on the board for Upper Arlington Special Olympics, a Shrine Circus Daddy, Life member of OSU Alumni as well as a Golden Bear member of Upper Arlington Alumni Association. He was also a member of York F&M, Scottish Rite and Aladdin Shrine. Russ was an avid golfer and very passionate about his work and business which culminated in the founding of the Seniors Servicing Co. in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Denise (Lyons) Neds; son, Jason Neds; daughter, Jennifer (Heyes) Dean; grandchildren, Christian, Emma and McKenna; sister, Sandy Neds; mother-in-law, Pat Lyons; brother-in-law, Gary (Mary Beth) Lyons; sister-in-law, Lisa Peacock; nephews, Andrew (Tessie) Lyons, Michael (Amy) Lyons and Brandon Peacock (Sara Linn); great-nephews and niece, Dylan, Capote and Charlotte. A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday July 21, 2018 at Bethel Presbyterian Church 1735 Bethel Rd. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may contribute in his memory to UA Special Olympics c/o Mike Borders 5984 Cape Coral Ln. Hilliard, OH 43026.
