Bob was the epitome of a true Spartan. We appreciated his humor and was never at a loss for words. He was and will always be a very treasured friend. We will miss him dearly.

I was shocked to see Bob's obituary in today's newspaper. Bob was so alive-always cracking jokes and making fun of things. I always thought of you as a couple. I am so sorry for your loss. If there is anything, anything, I can do, please let me know. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Chris Vess

I am so sorry for the loss of our beloved neighbor. He has seen my children grow up from infants to them having children, taking us through 33 years as my neighbor and watching out for each other He will truly be missed as my neighbor and I will miss our OSU - Michigan St. rivalry. I will miss having him make his grass greener than mine and picking up all the leaves before I do. I hope you find comfort in knowing that he is at peace always. Sending sympathy and love your way, Karen and Rick, Kelby, Joey, Marcus

Pat, We were so sorry to learn of Bob's passing. You and Bob have been the faces of the Central Ohio MSU Alumni Club for as long as we have been involved. We have fond memories of Bob from the times we could get together. You are in our prayers.

Dear Pat, I was so sorry to see Bob's obituary in the paper this morning. He was a true friend and a dedicated coworker for so many years. His wit, wisdom and experience were absolutely key to all that we accomplished through the years. I'm sure you wouldn't be surprised at how many people admired, respected and still remember his valuable contribution to our work in public health at CCHD, ODH and the CDC. He was a kind and gentle person who always remembered details like birthdays, friends and great stories about work. I will never forget Bob and I regret that we didn't see much of each other in these years since we retired. If I can be of any help to you, please let me know. Dennis Sayers

Pat, I am so sorry to hear about Bob. I will miss seeing him at Premier being the first to sign up for spinning and seeing him at his usual bike. I remember being with both of you last year at BW's for Veteran's day and thought about him this year on that day. My condolences to you and your family. Nancy Driggs

There will always be a GREEN spot in my heart with Bob's name on it! He and my husband, Jon Gary, were close friends from 4th grade on. It was always a fun time when Bob was around, because the sharp witticisms never stopped! I am thankful for knowing him and being a part of his life! To be sure, he and Jon are reconnecting and discussing the worries of the world! Memories of times spent together will certainly bring smiles for a life well lived! RIP, good Spartan!

I was shocked and very saddened earlier today upon learning that Bob had passed away. I met him when we were both members of the MSU Alumni Association National Board. His openly passionate enthusiasm for MSU was well known to all who knew and respected him. Though I only saw him occasionally, following our years on that Board, perhaps at a Final Four, a bowl game, or Homecoming events he always greeted me with friendship and care. He was truly a most decent and caring human being.

It’s so hard to lose a great friend. Always a smile, quick wit and a fellow Spartan. We miss you already Bob but we take comfort in knowing you’re no longer in pain. We look forward to seeing you on the other side. GO GREEN!!!!
