Robert F Smith passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018. He is fondly remembered by his loving son Robert; his granddaughters Sandi (Paul) Miller and Heather (Eric) Baldwin; and his great grandchildren Tory, Dylan, Kaleb, Seth, Faith and Micah. Robert served in World War II and the Korean War. He spent 22+ years in the army and retired in 1967. Robert received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service during World War II and fought in the (Battle of the Bulge). He had several other careers, including, raising hogs with his older brother Hugh. He finally retired for good in 1983 after working for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Florida. He and his wife, Dorothy, traveled the United States, until she passed away in 1986. Robert continued to travel by trailer around the United States and Canada until the age of 83. His son, Robert considers him a great father, strict, but encouraging him, always. Robert will always be remembered as a loving, caring grandfather and great grandfather.
