Ralph Eugene Stapleton, 86, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.  Ralph was born November 12, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph B. and Grace E. (Welch) Stapleton.  Preceded in death by his wife Patricia, son Ralph B., brother Robert, sister Grace Rita and great-granddaughter, Makynlie Oxley.  Ralph is survived by his children, Deborah (Dale) Oxley, Sharon (Bob) Kiyohara, Thomas K. (Patty), Brian (Heather), Molly (Patrick) Byrne, Matthew (Stephanie), Megan (Mark) Dempsey.  He was adored by all his children, 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren along with sisters-in-law, Rita Meder and Rosemary Larkins many nieces, nephews and friends including cherished friends Becky Ehrler and Doris Hartman.  Ralph delighted in and was devoted to his family. He was known for his sense of humor and he was a true gentleman to the end, except for Sunday but he said “sorry”.  Visitation 2pm-5pm Sunday, November 12 at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad Street, Columbus. Funeral Mass 10am Monday, November 13, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1420 Grandview Avenue.  Internment at St. Joseph Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at The Kobacker House for the exceptional care given to our dad.
