Nancy E. Young, age 68, passed away October 16, 2017 at Riverside Hospital due to an extended illness. She was born on December 31, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thomas and Anna Moraghan.  She attended Kent State University where she met, Van Young and the two were married on May 8, 1976.  They resided in Warren, Ohio and Ft. Wayne, Indiana before moving to Columbus in 1981.  They have resided in Worthington since 1985.  She was a dedicated wife and mother of three children who was active in every aspect of their lives.  Nancy loved spending time with her kids and grandkids as well as travelling around the world with her husband.  She also enjoyed learning about history and visiting historical locations especially Civil War sites.  Nancy was a devout Catholic who loved practicing her faith as a dedicated parishioner of St. Michael Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret “Mickey” Stih. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Van Young; children, Christopher Young of Colorado Springs, CO, Katie (Steve) Nevelos of Lewis Center, OH and Tommy (Emilee) Young of Dublin, OH; grandchildren, Jacob, Cohen, Collin and Piper; sisters, Martha and Elaine Moraghan. Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 5750 North High Street.  Burial to follow at Flint Cemetery.  Donations may be made to St. Michael Church, 5750 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.
