Mary Jane Day Sullivan, age 96, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side in Toledo, Ohio on August 23, 2017.  She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 12, 1921 to Lewis and Monica (Coffman) Day.  She was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School and Ohio Dominican College.  On a snowy day in January 1959, she married John Sullivan at Holy Rosary Church. They enjoyed 53 years together.  She spent time working in accounting for what was then known as "The Phone Company". She also taught Catholic grade school for three years before the birth of her daughter, Mary Anne. Mary Jane was a devoted Catholic, wife and mother. She was a great supporter of Capital University Law School.  In her later years, she greatly enjoyed her involvement in the "Snappy Seniors Tappers" dance troupe.  Mary Jane enjoyed the friendship and the exercise the group provided to her.  She is predeceased by her husband John.  She is survived by her loving daughter Mary Anne, four nieces (Sue, Mary Ann, Kathy and Nancy) and her nephew, Jim.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 26 at 11:30am at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 South High Street. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
