Mary Jane (Conlon) Berry, 91, died peacefully on May 15. Born on August 13,1926 in Detroit Michigan, the first child of James Loftus Conlon and Blanche (Foulkes) Helen Conlon. She moved with her family to Columbus in 1946, and married Richard Girard Berry in 1949. She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Springs College (now Ohio Dominican University) and completed post-graduate studies in Education at OSU. She taught school at St. Brendan school and was then Principal. Mary Jane and Richard were original parishioners of St. Brendan church. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor, devotion to family, creativity, love of entertaining, and wonderful aesthetic sensibilities. Preceded in death by her husband; son J. Kevin Berry; brothers Donald J. Conlon, John Joseph Conlon (Mary Jane Edson), Raymond E. Conlon; and brother-in-law Fritz Arens. She leaves to cherish her memory: her sister Carol Sue (Conlon) Arens; sisters-in-law Betsy Conlon and Carol Ann Conlon; children Richard C. Berry, Lisa Berry Coleman (husband Rob Tawse), Ellen Ursula Berry and daughter-in-law Laura Hopper Berry. Grandchildren Kerry J. Peterson (Nick), Lydia Berry Coleman, Lily Kathleen Berry, J. Conlon Berry. Great grandchildren J. Coleman Peterson, Hazel Jane Peterson and Beatriz Louise Peterson; and many devoted and loving nieces and nephews. Mary Jane moved to Friendship Village of Dublin and enjoyed living there for 12 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benevolent Fund at FVD in her honor at 6000 Riverside Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Friends may call, Friday, May 25 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
