God bless dear Mary. She and I had wonderful times while students together at Barat. I had no place to go for Thanksgiving my freshman year, since I lived in California. Mary invited me to her family home in Cleveland. It snowed when we went out to a movie. I had never been in snow before. Mary got us home safely even though her defrost wasn't working. A truly great lady.

Dear Crowley Family, It's hard to believe I was just visiting with your mom at Egan Ryan for your dad's visitation this past spring. I'm so grateful I got to visit with her and reminisce about your dad and my folks, Bill and Peggy Botkin. I'll always think of Mary as the baby sister my dad never had. Your parents were the most wonderful friends to all of the Botkins, and I picture the four of them - Mary, Chuck, Bill and Peggy -- sitting around drinking coffee and telling stories in heaven. Your mom was a great lady -- what a blessing!

So many happy memories going back so many years - Colorado, her participation in my ordination, officiating at their marriage, visits to Columbus, your mom's and her parents' visit to Worcester, your family visit to Attleboro - and the pool. My heart is sore thinking of her loss but I know she is at peace and reunited with your dad. She was a special person in my life and will be missed. My very deepest condolences and prayers for all of you whom she loved so much.

I met Mary last year while volunteering on a political campaign. It was a small, intimate group, which led to the formation of our support group and an immediate and everlasting friendship. The picture of Mary in her pink hat is how I will always remember her, as I said at that time "she wore it well" and I will always remember how she brought light to our group. Mary always made me laugh.
Mary, you will always be in my heart. You are missed.
