Marguerite Christine Inkrot

Marguerite Christine Inkrot, 88, of Franklin, TN, passed away on October 16, 2018 after an illness. Marguerite was born in Johnson City, NY on December 7, 1929. Her family moved to Columbus when she was 11.  She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and continued on to receive her nursing degree from the Mount Carmel School of Nursing. Marguerite was married to John Inkrot on September 24,1966; they were married 17 years. Marguerite worked as a Registered Nurse for Nationwide Children’s Hospital for several years, among other places. After raising her family, she was a long-time volunteer at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, games, traveling with her friends and spending time with her family. She was also actively involved in activities at The Hearth of Franklin, where she lived the past 2 years. She was a parishioner of St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin, TN. Marguerite is survived by her son Richard Inkrot, daughter Mary Inkrot, daughter-in-law Lori Inkrot, son-in law Tom Downey, grandchildren Jack, Noah, Elizabeth, and Brooke, a niece, nephews and friends. Marguerite is preceded in death by her husband John Inkrot and brother John Belcher. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 21 2-5pm at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church at 1573 Elaine Rd. on Monday, Oct 22 at 10:00 am. Fr. William Arnold, Celebrant. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Red Cross.
