Marie Jeanne Lucile Antoinette Middleton (nee Groulx), age 93, died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at the Avery House. Born in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Armand and Mary (Curtis) Groulx.  Preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Arthur S. Middleton;  brothers, Gerard and Henri Groulx;  half-brothers, Charles and Harold Stewart; half-sisters, Edna, Olive and Lillian Stewart. Survived by her daughters, Michele and Susan Middleton and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Florida.   She was proud of both her French Canadian and Irish heritage and she often spoke about her childhood  in Canada. Lucile was a member of Holy Spirit parish for more than 50 years and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; caring for her family, crafting, reading and crossword puzzles.  She took pride in volunteering at the polls on election day.  We will treasure the memory of her kindness, generosity and her infectious laugh.  She loved animals with a special fondness for elephants and she cherished her cats and dogs.
