Karen Solinger, age 62, passed away January 8, 2018 after a two month battle with lung cancer.  She was born in Columbus to the late Paul and Bernice Ford.  Karen was a 1973 graduate from Eastmoor High School and then received her Bachelor’s Degree from Kent State University in 1977.  Karen married Jeff Solinger in 1982 and they were happily married for 35 years.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Ed Ford and sister, Mary Catherine Godbey.  She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Solinger; son, Joe (Jill) Solinger; grandchildren, Gianna, Mariella, Santino and Vincenzo Solinger; brothers, Paul and Tom Ford; sister, Connie Ford.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 280 North Grant Avenue.  A private burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
