Judy Fenlon Obituary

Judith Ann ( Judy) Fenlon, who touched the lives of hundreds of school children at Saint Andrew School in Upper Arlington, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2018 in Columbus. Born New Years Day in 1958 in Findlay, Ohio, Judy’s life was in teaching, starting at Ascension Grade School in Louisville, Kentucky, and then for 35 years at Saint Andrew.  Predeceased by her mother Roberta (Mclain) Fenlon. She is survived by her father, Richard Fenlon, brothers Rick, John, James, and many cousins. She is mourned by many friends in Louisville, where she majored in child education at the University of Louisville – and many, many more in Columbus. Judy loved her dogs, green beans, and the countless school children she touched. She even taught children whose parents she had taught years before. She could have written a book about the daily successes and failures of her students. Through the years, she witnessed students who were deemed lacking or somehow different, grow up to be lawyers, doctors, and scientists. Her hero was Pope Francis. She cared passionately for the less fortunate, the unwanted, and the undesirable.  Recently, she was particularly touched by the plight of the border children.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make Judy smile by donating to your favorite charity. May God love you Judy, as we always will. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 3-7 Monday at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 KENNY RD.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd., Upper Arlington.  Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
