Jerry J. Peters, age 70, passed away August 9, 2017.   He was born on June 8, 1947 in Columbus to  Fred "Pete" and Frances (Snyder) Peters.  Jerry graduated from Bishop Hartley High School.  He then went on to serve in the United States Army before running the family business, Peters Machine which is now Capitol City Manufacturing. Jerry took a lot of pride in running a family business and was extremely grateful that it is now in its third generation. Jerry loved Ohio State Football and always found the humor in every situation.  He is preceded in death by his father, wife, Mary Ann (Yurasek) Peters.  He is survived by his mother; his sons Matthew (Janeen) and Joshua Peters and their mother,  Katherine Dixon Juras; granddaughters Elise and Lana Peters.  Friends may call Monday from 3-5 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street where the Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 p.m.  Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the MS Society, 651 Lakeview Plaza Blvd, G, Columbus, OH 43085.  Visit www.egan-ryan.com to offer condolences.
