James A. “Jim” Heck, age 82, passed in the Lords loving care on January 9, 2018 to rejoin with his loving wife, Doris, of 61 years.  He was born on December 30, 1935 to the late Joseph and Marie Heck.  Jim was a fine custom home builder for 30 years with 45 plus years in the carpentry field.  Past President of the Fairfield County Contractors Association.  Jim was also a very talented sketch artist, architect and writer.  Jim was an avid sports fan of the Browns, Notre Dame and Red Sox.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; brothers, Joseph and William; sisters, Mildred Goodrich and Dorothy Daugherty; son-in-law, Jim Stafford. He is survived by four children, Cindy Coakley, Randy (Kathy) Heck, Kelly (Judy) Heck and Amy Stafford; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street.  Funeral Service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, that is on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, where the burial will  follow.
