James A. (Jaime) Carr, age 66, beloved father, loving husband, dutiful brother and son, loyal friend, and accomplished attorney passed peacefully Thursday August 9, 2018 at his residence. Graduate of Bexley High School (1970), University of California Berkeley, and Capital University Law School. Retired from the State of Ohio Attorney General’s Office Environmental Enforcement Section. Jaime had a passion for music and guitar. He was very active with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Jaime was very proud of his grandfather, Joseph F. Carr, and his role in founding the National Football League and contributing to organizing Major League Baseball. Survived by wife Julia Guggenheim, daughter Jennifer Carr ( Drew) Dersom; son James Andrew Carr; grandsons Lucas and Theodore Dersom; brother Michael Charles Carr; nephew Joseph F. Carr, III and his wife Erica Blake; loving golden retriever Doolin. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Marjorie Naddy Carr and brothers Joseph, John, Dennis, Gregory and Francis Carr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 280 N. Grant Ave. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery to be followed by a Celebration of Jaime’s life. Friends who wish may contribute in Jaime’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
