Henry Robert Halas, Jr.

Henry Robert Halas, Jr. (Hank), age 64 of Dublin, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Hank was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, The Ohio State University, and The University of Texas at Austin. Hank returned to Columbus to raise his family. In Columbus, Hank spent hiscareer working in real estate finance. At home, Hank was a self-taught carpenter and gardener who enjoyed woodworking and landscaping projects. Hank’s family appreciates and remembers his devotion to them. Hank is preceded in death by his parents Henry R. Halas, Sr. and Alberta Halas. Hank is survived by his children Jennifer (Daniel) Whitehurst and Rob Halas; siblings Marie (Terry) Mowery, Suzanne (Ken Kulka) Steel, and Jim (Carol) Halas; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Family will celebrate Hank’s life during calling hours at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home at 4661 Kenny Road on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 4 - 7 pm, and with a Memorial Mass at St. Brigid of Kildare 7179 Avery Rd. Dublin, OH on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kobacker House in Columbus or to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
